I had a wonderful time celebrating Book Week with local schools.
I even received a lovely surprise from one of them- a beautiful book of artwork made by kindergarten students inspired by my visit!
A couple of kids even dressed up as Ruby Wishfingers for their Book Week parades!

I had a lovely time at Newcastle Junior School this week as part of their Education Week celebrations.
I attended their assembly, joined a picnic and read Dinosaur Disco and The Bouncing Ball to the kids.
They had a wonderful art display in the library which included a brilliant Dinosaur Disco inspired mural! Thanks to all the staff, parents and students for having me!

Bel Air Public School Visit 2016
I had a wonderful morning at Bel Air Public School talking to students about my life in Japan, enjoying some delicious (and unusual!) Japanese food and writing Haiku poetry! Thanks for having me Bel Air staff and students!

It was wonderful to be back at the NWF for my third year in a row!
I enjoyed hosting two hands on Haiku poetry writing workshops with students in years 4-6.
I also launched the first book in my brand new Ruby Wishfingers series: ‘Ruby Wishfingers: Skydancer’s Escape’ on the Family Fun Day (Saturday)
